By accessing this website you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions, all applicable laws and regulations, and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site.
Limitations
In no event shall Karen Sanders Editing suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on Karen Sanders Editing’s website, even if Karen Sanders Editing’s authorised representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage. Because some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties, or limitations of liability for consequential or incidental damages, these limitations may not apply to you.
Delivery of services

Karen Sanders Editing strives to deliver the first round of edits within 14 working days of the booked editing date unless agreed otherwise and after the first 50% of the payment has been received for manuscripts up to 70,000 words. Manuscripts of 70,001 words and above will require more time and will be discussed with clients before work begins.
No work will begin until the 50% deposit has been paid, Delayed work due to late payments is solely the responsibility of the client. If the client has expressed there is no deadline and Karen Sanders Editing can complete edits at their conveniece, the 14 working days deadline does not apply.
During revisions – between the first round of editing and the final readthrough – Karen Sanders Editing is happy to allow up to 5000 additional words to be edited for free. However, if extra words added exceed 5000 words, a charge will be added for them.
50% of the full edit must be paid the day editing begins, and the remaining balance must be paid before the final proofread is returned to you. Payment plans are available but must be discussed before work begins.
Cancellation and refund policy for general editing
The client has until one month before edits are due to begin to cancel their slot if they are unable to make the date. It is SOLELY the client's responsibility to remember when their edit is due. If the client cancels less than four weeks before their due date, they will be subject to a late cancellation fee of £40 and any deposit paid will be forfeited.
A non-refundable deposit of £40 will be taken to secure bookings. This will be deducted from the client's final payment when the job is complete. If the client cancels, the deposit will not be refunded.
If the client cancels an edit when payment has already been made, the payment will not be returned.
If the client cancels an edit between round 1 and round 2 of editing, payments will not be returned.
If the client cancels an edit before round 2 of editing has begun, Karen Sanders Editing accepts no responsibility for errors within the work. An edit is not considered finished and delivered until both rounds of revisions have been completed.
Any complaints about a completed edit should be addressed via the contact form within 14 days of receiving the fully edited manuscript .
Website
Changes to the site can be made whenever necessary and without notification to the users. We will always attempt to make the website as user-friendly as possible and will continually update with new content.

Karen Sanders Editing has not reviewed all of the sites linked to its website and is not responsible for the contents of any such linked site. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by Karen Sanders Editing of the site. Use of any such linked website is at the user’s own risk.

Karen Sanders Editing may revise these terms of service for its website at any time without notice. By using this website you are agreeing to be bound by the then current version of these terms of service.
Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of United Kingdom and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that State or location.
